Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, the daughter of a musician from Mexico, was born to the music-loving parents of her family. As a child, she was inspired by Boleros, classical music and the classic romantic, ranchero, and romantic ballads. Ana enjoys tangos operas and other dramatic shows. Her mother taught her to sing, but she began more intensive vocal training with Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when he was a renowned Mexican opera tenor. The School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico kept her in the music field. As a student and young professional, she sang with various chamber groups as well as opera choruses throughout Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. She sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. She is passionate about the performing arts, music, and the arts keep active in community projects in both her capacity as an artist and teacher. Ana was a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands (as as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana hopes, by sharing her knowledge songs from Latin American traditional songs, that she will instill a passion, particularly in the younger generations to keep this tradition in the present.
